Hello everyone, This is my second thread about this issue however this time after a diagnostic with VW. First of all the recap on the issue: I have lately been having issues with my VW Golf MK7 1.4 TSI. When I start the car it drives normally without any problems. However after driving for
There was no hot Golf SV, but an R-Line edition arrived in May 2016, with a sportier design and a choice of 1.4 TSI or 2.0 TDI engines. Dampers Shock absorbers can fail prematurely, so check for

The 19s will handle better and the 17s will ride better. There are always compromises.

So I have a difficult decision to make. I can go for a 50,000 mile 1.4 TSI or a 70,000 miles 1.5 TSI. Decision time. What would the forum vote for? And why? Jan 28, 2016. #1. Got my Golf R last week and absolutely love it! Other than the condensation in the headlight I haven't had too many issues. However, this evening I noticed an odd sound. When I'm driving through the city, through traffic, I've noticed that there's this weird metallic/tinny noise on acceleration between 0-30 km/h. Based on our research, the Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk6 facelift registered in 2011 is now priced around RM 65,000. This generation is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged TSI engine (210 PS, 280 Nm) that is mated to a 6-speed DCT. A used Golf GTI Mk7 registered in 2013 is now on sale for as low as RM 113,000. I have 1.4 TSI ACT DSG with 18" wheels, and was never able to go below 7.3l/100km. Usually its above 8.0l/100km.

My first Mk7 Golf and my current Mk7 Golf both produce the same noise on starting, I haven't let it bother me. Overall I find the 1.4 TSI engine quite noisy, it sounds like a diesel engine compared to a Mk4 2 litre naturally aspirated engine. Just as well the cabin has such good noise insulation.

Dealer: "I can confirm that the cost for a timing belt and water pump in a Mk 7 Golf 1.6TDI of the year 2013 is actually €550This is because these model Golfs come with an electrical pump and a different kit which is more expensive than the standard Golf models of previous years. It also takes longer to change the kits in these vehicles."

May 25, 2013. #5. Possible Flat spot in 1st gear when cold. Mk7 SE 1.4 TSI 122 - I also have noticed a "flat spot" when pulling away in first gear which is more pronounced when the engine is cold. Its going in for a check on Wednesday so I'll update when I get it back. Otherwise very pleased with my 2 week old car. 1.4 tsi with ACT, Buy or Avoid?? – 23-04-2015, 09:28 AM. We're considering changing our Golf for a Mk7 and this time going for a 1.4 tsi 150ps with ACT. Before placing an order I thought it wise to ask for opinions on this engine from owners and in particular those of you in the trade.

It’s the OEM intake air box for the EA211 1.4L TSI engines, you’ll find them in Golfs TSI & GTE (MK7-7.5), Jetta’s (MK6 I think) and I think some Passats/Hybrids.
A couple of months ago I brought my first Golf, a neat little MK7 1.4 TSI bluemotion 7 spd DSG. I've been thinking about doing an exhaust upgrade, Id like a nicer note and a bit better performance, but I can't find much in the way of diy bolt on cat back systems options, if they even do them for this model.
MadMen said: Yes - the new actuator needs to be set at 3.5-3.8 volts in closed position, and adapted via vagcom or obdeleven. However, if you were getting that code prior to the new actuator, then it could be very likely the turbo wastegate linkage, and not the actuator, so they could be right by suggesting a new turbo. .
