throw a +10 raw malformed skull in the second slot of your primary swap to it on a riposte, 2 hand it, boom goes the dynamite. ~Sigma Alpha Gamma Epsilon~. DarkDesner 7 years ago #6. There's a reason they nerfed the riposte damage; parries are somewhat easy to pull off. The pre-nerf damage was ridiculous.
In either stance it is also possible for Havel to perform a large backstep, followed up by a dashing attack; if you see him backstep, do not close in and try to attack. Try to be constantly strafing to your left while guarding, and, after blocking one of his attacks, continue moving around him for a Backstab.
backstab registration isn't a glitch - it's how the game works. turning around to face someone to prevent a backstab won't work because the game registers your position on their screen, so the best move is instead to roll away so the backstab animation doesn't connect. The idea is to sneak up to an unaware enemy from the back and attack with the Light Attack button - LB or L1 on gamepads. If done correctly, your character should do a Backstab move that does extra damage and drains enemy Ichor - similar to Parry or Drain Attack. Only trouble is, Backstab can be hard to do. The main advice we can give is be as Official Dark Hand of the Dark Souls 2 message board. PS4: Veredis-696. Could be a variety of things, laggy server, phantom hitbox etc. Problem with the dagger is, even with phantom damage, you have to be very close. Like, if you're not brokeback-mountaining, you'll probably not get a backstab.

Lots of Souls games have a system where you lose health in souls form. The only ones that don't are Dark Souls and Bloodborne. Of games with such systems, 2's is the most forgiving because you lose a little at a time rather than everything after your first death. 2. Invasions being on even in souls form was one of my favorite things about Dark

It should knock them down to backstab. Jeff2307. • 10 yr. ago. The "attack" button instead of the "Strong attack" button, yes. more replies. Jeff2307. • 10 yr. ago. Still can't get it to work. r/DarkSouls2.
Whenever I parry/backstab a gankers phantom I am usually back stabbed by the host. Now I know how to escape a chain backstab. But that is because I get back up from a back stab facing my attacker. Whenever I parry/backstab a hosts phantom my back is still facing the host. They almost always get a backstab on me in this situation.

Zeroxas_27 11 years ago #10. I believe locking the enemy would make it easier (default on K/M : O). Don't forget to walk while approaching the enemy (default : Ctrl on hold). Keep approaching until they start to turn their back. When that happens, just right click.

Some real tips: 1) Don't backstab-fish, insted punish their fishing. 2) Don't try to run away, invaders (usually) manage their stamina better and know the shortest path to you. You cannot out-run them, unless you roll spam with Dark Wood Grain Ring. 3) Don't lock-off and back roll or just spam rolls away from them, it leaves your back vulnerable.
Can you backstab with the dragon sword you get from the hellkite dragon on the bridge? I havent been able to back stab once. Is it the regular attack or the heavy attack? Do you have to press forward or just be neutral? How close to you have to be, almost touching them? You mustn't hold your block button. You can backstab with the Drake Sword. In Dark Souls II, there’s a brief window where a player can escape a backstab by rolling, so even if you’re caught by surprise (or someone is backstab fishing), there’s options. Secondly It is. It is difficult to pull of the instant Backstab input consistently. The toggle also requires you to claw left which on some controllers (Xbox) is extremely uncomfortable. While qa bses have been around for a while.. this technique is new enough to warrant a video explaining it and it's application. 2.

I've been playing for a while now (by my standards) with a lvl 60 character, and I use the keyboard and mouse. I'm perfectly fine with using it, but telling me to rb + a (example) doesn't help me backstab an enemy I'm behind. Could someone using those controls tell me how to do things like parrying, backstabbing, guard breaking etc. using the keyboard and mouse?

Google Dark Souls backstab tutorial. There's a great video where a guy breaks it down frame by frame. If I find it, I'll post it. The same guy also did a similar video for parries. A good place to practice backstabs is on the Black Knights in Anor Londo. Lock on, circle their weapon side, and attempt to backstab. .
